I love finding treasure.
And the jolly thing is, I can find it anywhere.
Let’s start with thumbs. I love thumbs. They are bendy and quite handy and have these cool little ridges in the skin so that when you dip the inside of your thumb in ink and stick it on a piece of paper, you get what’s called a “thumb-print.” Does that not blow your mind?
Or take writing. Now, writing often requires a several things, and I am certain that I probably do not know all of them. But I will mention the few that come to mind: a writing utensil (pen and paper, computer and internet, computer and writing software, etc.), an author, inspiration, and language in which to communicate. Now, those things exist, and so we have writing. And writing happens to be one of my most favorite things in the world! Wow, amazing how discovering one treasure can lead to the discovery of many more!
And then there’s the platypus. Platypus, how do you exist? You—you and your mammalian furriness and webbed feet! Gah . . . so cute.
People. Wow. Just. Wow. I could go on and on about people. Oh, you are an amazing lot. Many of them will ask me why I am smiling so much and I say, “Have you not looked at yourself in the mirror? Do you not understand how chock full of glory you are?”
